Sivan has recently entered a bold new phase in her interdisciplinary practice, blending dance, projection, and installation within the realm of visual arts. Her groundbreaking solo exhibition, Embodies Activism, at Aspex Gallery in Portsmouth, explores the profound connection between bodies, space, and global issues, offering a transformative and empowering perspective on creation emerging from destruction.
As a neurodiverse artist, Sivan is developing an ever-evolving working method and a pedagogical practice, Beat Space Beat, that seeks to explore new ways of learning, teaching, and being through a neurodivergent lens. Past collaborations include the Wellcome Trust, The Place, Trinity Laban, Dance4, Caroli, and Magpie Dance.
As a movement director, Sivan has worked in the fashion industry and with photographers, including credits for Wonderound, the San Francisco Dance Festival, and independent brands showcased at London Fashion Week, Vogue, and Dazed.
In her teens, Sivan studied theatre and direction as well as Vaganova Ballet. In 2012, she graduated from Trinity Laban, where she was awarded a scholarship to attend the Graham School. After graduation, she was selected by The Place for the “Exit Visa” programme to refine her choreographic practice. Sivan was chosen as the UK artist for Pivot Dance, commissioned by Creative Europe. She was also the co-founder of OH Creative Space with Jessica Miller and co-curated the Oops festival with The Swallowsfeet Collective in Brighton (2015–2019).
